This online workshop, run by True Bearing Chartered, will make you aware of your choices and aid you in your decision making around retirement.

By the end of the workshop you will be able to:

Create your own route path from the world of work to the world of retirement
Identify changes in both pensions and financial regulations which will affect your retirement decisions
Identify the long term issues affecting your retirement
Identify personal and lifestyle actions which will help to improve your retirement
Start the process of planning for a successful retirement

To be eligible you need to have plans to retire within the next 12-18 months.

The Organising Steward Online

Branch Secretary Online Training

This online course is designed to help existing and potential Branch Secretaries to carry out their role effectively. As well as examining the role of the Branch Secretary and the branch itself, the course focuses on the skills branch secretaries need and look at developing a team approach to branch work.

This online training will take place on the dates and times shown below:-

Module 1 – 8 December 10.30am to Noon;
Module 2 – 9 December 10.30am to 12.30pm;
Module 3 – 10 December 10.30am to Noon.

Becoming a Numeracy Champion: Busting Myths and Changing Mindsets

Learn to support people with their numeracy skills, without having to teach maths.

Many people are held back by maths anxiety and low confidence with numbers.

Join our CPD accredited workshop which aims to give you the knowledge and understanding you need to support staff who have low confidence in numeracy.

The programme is not about teaching maths, but focuses on supporting learners who feel anxious with numbers.

You don’t have to be a maths specialist – just a supportive person to talk to about maths.

These online workshops are delivered on Zoom and participants will be sent a link by National Numeracy. Participants are also asked to fill in a digital workbook to complete the programme.
