UNISON ambulance workers strike for a fourth day over pay and staffing

Ambulance staff working for five services in England – London, Yorkshire, the North West, North East and South West – will be taking part in further industrial action tomorrow (Friday 10 February) over NHS pay and staffing.

Paramedics, emergency care assistants, ambulance technicians, other 999 crew members, call handlers and control room staff will be on picket lines at various times during the day.

UNISON general secretary Christina McAnea will be joining workers on strike at various locations in the South West, while the union’s head of health Sara Gorton will be visiting ambulance picket lines in London. Deputy head of health Helga Pile and assistant general secretary Jon Richards will be in Yorkshire.

This will be the fourth time ambulance staff have walked out during the current dispute.
