Today we remember our former colleague and friend Mags, who sadly passed away earlier this month. Mags spent several years in the UNISON health team, working in various hospitals and building relationships with branch officers, members and employers before retiring in 2016.
She worked on student nurse recruitment and delivered many women’s confidence building courses for the region. She was an extremely effective UNISON organiser and widely respected and appreciated.
All Mags’ colleagues, especially local organisers, learned a great deal from her and often benefited from her mentoring and support. She had a great sense of humour and strong commitment to building UNISON.
She will be missed by us all and our thoughts are with Mags’ family, friends and loved ones today.
